BAYADA Hospice in Media, Pennsylvania named Sherri Hewlings-Kopec, RN, MSN as associate director, responsible for leading and managing all operations of the Media hospice office. Serving Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties, the office provides quality end-of-life services—including clinical, emotional, social, and spiritual support—to adults and seniors.

Hewlings-Kopec has more than 20 years of experience in clinical and managerial settings throughout Delaware County. Her clinical background includes home health and hospice, and her managerial expertise is in nursing education and nursing administration. She joined BAYADA as a clinical manager before being appointed to associate director.

“I am proud to have Sherri lead the Media hospice office with the highest professional, ethical, and safety standards” said Angela Snyder, RN, MSN, MHA, director of BAYADA’s Boyertown, PA hospice office. “Sherri brings with her a wealth of knowledge and will be a great asset to our team.”

It was a personal experience that led Hewlings-Kopec to a career in hospice. When her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, Hewlings-Kopec helped care for her, even though hospice was not available through Medicare at the time. The experience helped Hewlings-Kopec recognize the value and importance of end-of-life care at home. "I am honored to help others live their last days at home, among family and in the comfort of their own environment," said Hewlings-Kopec.
