The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) held their annual conference in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday, November 8 to Saturday, November 11. More than 850 rehabilitation nurses from around the country gathered to advance their knowledge and explore cutting-edge solutions.

As thought leaders in rehab nursing, the BAYADAbility Team shared their expertise through three conference presentations and a poster presentation. At their exhibit table, they explained to attendees how BAYADAbility's specialized expertise provides better outcomes and reduces health care costs.

Cay Ambrose, RN, CRRN, director of clinical programs for BAYADAbility and president of the ARN, Philadelphia Chapter led with her presentation titled, “Home Care Catastrophic Management: The Challenges and Triumphs.” Director Tyke Ingram, RN, BSN, CRRN of the Clinical Standards and Quality office presented, "Compassion Fatigue in Health Care Providers.” Carole Kriessman, RN, CRRN of the Main Line Adults office in Pennsylvania presented, “Home Care Goes to College.”

Clinical Manager Lori Ragonese, RN, CRRN of the Media, PA office created a poster titled: “Maintaining Mobility: Incorporating Rehab Principles into Care for People with Dementia.”

“I couldn’t be more proud of my team” said Ambrose “Some people go years without having their abstract chosen for this national event.  Our nurses are new to the program so it’s a really big deal that theirs were chosen. It feels great to know our team is leading the way.”
