A fourth $500 prize and 2014 Ford Focus grand prize remain in The BAYADA Drive it Home Contest

Rutherfordton, N.C., resident Nicole Kirksey was recently named the third of four quarterly $500 winners in the BAYADA Drive it Home Contest, a yearlong nursing career referral campaign to recruit high-quality home care nurses throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. A grand-prize 2014 Ford Focus will go to a randomly selected entrant in January.

“I’ve been saving up for a car, so this is awesome,” said Kirksey, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) with BAYADA Home Health Care in Shelby. She entered the contest by referring fellow nurses to her company through an online registration process. “On top of the $500, two of my referrals went through the hiring process, so I have even more entries to win the car!”

When Kirksey started with the Shelby office last year, she said her colleagues, “made me feel like I counted; like I was important. I referred my nurse friends so they could have the same great experience.”

“Nicole’s BAYADA story is a special one, but certainly not unique,” said BAYADA Division Director Virginia Steelman. “Our guiding principles state that employees are our greatest asset, and we’re hoping the Drive it Home Contest helps get that word out. Finding more special nurses like Nicole will help us care for more people in their homes, where they want to be.”

Once registered, contestants can begin referring nurses. There is no limit to the number of referrals, so the more nurses contestants refer, the better their chance of winning $500 and the grand-prize Ford Focus.

This contest is completed. Thank you to everyone who participated.
