Philadelphia, PA (March 5, 2025) — BAYADA Home Health Care, the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit home health care provider with 33,000 employees worldwide, has been selected by Newsweek as one of its for the third consecutive year.

BAYADA was chosen as one of the top 1,000 companies in the US and rated five stars, Newsweek’s highest rating.

“Nearly 90% of our employees are women: If they don’t thrive, we don’t thrive,” said Joe Wendover, Director Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at BAYADA. “We are absolutely delighted that we’ve been selected by Newsweek as one of the nation’s top workplaces for women.”

The survey incorporates more than 215,000 employee interviews with women in the US and collected over 2.2 million comprehensive company reviews. This makes America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2025 one of the country’s largest independent employee studies.

The survey methodology included more than 10 different key performance indicators (KPIs) reflecting the extent to which women are supported and embraced in the workplace. These KPIs include metrics such as the ratio of women in leadership positions, initiatives for women empowerment, reviews and information from social media platforms, and insights gathered from online platforms and social media reviews.

BAYADA’s DEIB program sponsors six Employee Resource Councils, including one focused on women in leadership. The organization offers monthly meetings that give employees a chance to get involved and have their voices heard. BAYADA has also started a supplier diversity program to reach out to businesses owned by women, racially and ethnically diverse individuals, people with disabilities, veterans, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and others. The company offers extensive, free training programs that allow employees to chart a career path with opportunities for advancement. And BAYADA listens to its employees via quarterly employee experience surveys, a compliance hotline, regular 1:1s with managers, a confidential reporting system, and ongoing opportunities to share feedback and ideas.

Two often cited key values in BAYADA’s statement of purpose, The BAYADA Way, are Compassion and Excellence.

Compassion: BAYADA strives to “treat others the way they wish to be treated,” with kindness and understanding. The company aims to be an inclusive environment where all employees, including women, can thrive, and all clients can receive high-quality, personalized care with a sense of well-being, dignity, and trust.

Excellence: BAYADA hires the best qualified staff without prejudice and values diversity of perspective because it yields better care services, innovation, decision making, teamwork, and business outcomes.
