BAYADA Home Health Care announced today that it has agreed to acquire the home health care operations of Lower Bucks Hospital, located in Bristol, PA. The acquisition is anticipated to become effective on Monday, May 22, 2017.

“With the many changes happening in the industry, it can be challenging for hospitals to focus on home health care. It’s a different type of service that is provided outside of the hospital, requiring a unique expertise,” said J. Mark Baiada, president, CEO, and founder of BAYADA. “BAYADA has provided high quality in-home services for more than 40 years, all delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability.”

Lower Bucks Hospital Home Health chose BAYADA because of its expertise in home health care, comprehensive resources, and ability to provide continuity of services well into the future. “This action is about embracing a practice model that puts patients and quality care first, in a health care environment where people prefer care at home,” said Linda J. Grass, CEO at Lower Bucks Hospital. “We are welcoming BAYADA’s expertise in serving our community’s needs in post-discharge care.”

Both organizations share a similar culture and values, as well as a mission to keep people safe and healthy in the home of their choice. This agreement will help ensure that patients will continue to receive the services they expect and deserve, and that more adults and seniors in the future will be able to benefit from these services.

All home health patient care services will continue without interruption, and all of Lower Bucks Hospital’s home health employees will have the opportunity to interview for positions with BAYADA.
