On Saturday, April 27, BAYADA Home Health Care Clinical Manager (CM) Jane Feldman, who works in the company’s North Brunswick, NJ adult nursing office, was recognized as the recipient of the prestigious Ann Baiada Award for Excellence in Nursing Leadership. Feldman was selected as the recipient of this award for exemplifying the highest standards of nursing excellence.

Named in honor of BAYADA Director Ann Baiada, RN, CRRN (retired), this award was established in 2006 to honor nursing leaders who are true role models of excellence in nursing leadership development and of Ann Baiada’s legacy to “empower, inspire, and support” the people whose lives are touched by BAYADA. Feldman was chosen from the company’s pool of hundreds of clinical managers working in more than 360 service offices in 23 states, and was honored on stage at BAYADA’s annual Awards Weekend in front of an audience of 2,900 employees at the Philadelphia, PA Convention Center.

Jane humbly shared her gratitude for this recognition.  “BAYADA has been my "work family” for almost 25 years and during that time I have always been inspired by Ann Baiada's leadership & support. I am truly honored to receive this award.”

Feldman joined BAYADA as a field nurse in 1991 and became a clinical manager in 1995. As a BAYADA Clinical Manager, Feldman uses her nursing expertise to ensure the company’s adult clients with complex medical needs are able to remain in the comfort of home, surrounded by their families.

Feldman’s passion for her clients’ well-being—making sure they are safe and enjoying their lives the way she would want for her own family members—led her to join the BAYADAbility Rehab Solutions program in 2000 and then become a certified rehabilitation registered nurse, or CRRN, in 2002. Maintaining this specialized expertise, Feldman feels like she’s at the top of her game serving and advocating for clients with catastrophic diagnoses—clients like Eric LeGrand, who sustained a life-changing spinal cord injury in a 2010 football game, playing for the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights.

Eric’s mother Karen LeGrand says, “We are so fortunate to have Jane as our clinical manager. We are very particular about the type of person we want to come into our home as a caregiver. Jane knows this, and we can rely on her to be on top of everything to get us the best care. Her hands-on approach and genuine concern for her client’s well-being are what embody The BAYADA Way and truly make Jane special.”

Jane’s Director Alesha McCall was thrilled but not at all surprised when Feldman was announced as the recipient from among the company’s best clinicians across the country. “Jane is always willing to go above and beyond in every aspect of her work, whether it’s for her clients or colleagues. The day she retires, we’ll be hard-pressed to find someone to fill her shoes.”

BAYADA Division Director Wes Trice agrees. “I can’t tell you how reassuring it is to have Jane Feldman as a clinical manager in one of your offices. Some of the best clinicians BAYADA has ever had, including Ann Baiada herself, clearly have a great reverence and respect for Jane. Her compassion for her clients is so clear. Her clinical excellence and deep knowledge of catastrophic injuries is so impressive. Once I met her, I understood why people call her the best rehab nurse at BAYADA. And even with how intelligent, kind, and impressive Jane is, she’s so unassuming. It isn’t all about her at all—it is all about the client. Jane doesn’t want any attention; she just wants to help others.”

Choose a rewarding career with endless opportunities at BAYADA.
