BAYADA Client Betsy Way Helps Others Learn About Little-Known Medicare Home Health Benefit

BAYADA Client Betsy Way and BAYADA Therapist Tracey Freed are featured in WGAL-TV reporter Brian Roche's story about the little-known Medicare home health benefit. Mrs. Way used this benefit to help her return home from the hospital sooner and continue her recovery in the comfort of her own home.

Edo Banach, a former official with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, states that only 10% of eligible patients use the Medicare home health benefit. "In this country, there is still an institutional bias that if you need care you go to a building to get care in that building."

After 15 days in the hospital, Mrs. Way was happy to be home again. "I'm in my element here."
