Bill Wiseley, director of recruiting process operations for BAYADA Home Health Care, has been appointed as president of the Philadelphia Area Association of Health Care Recruiters (PAAHCR).
Wiseley joined PAAHCR in 2010 with the goal of networking and sharing knowledge with other recruiters who are committed to helping professionals find the best health care opportunities. Prior to his appointment as president, he served on the executive board as secretary.
“As president I am looking forward to working with my peers to revitalize our membership by attracting recent college graduates and those who are new to the field of health care recruiting,” said Wiseley, who also hopes to continue the organization’s commitment to philanthropic activities that support the health care profession.
PAAHCR provides scholarships to up and coming health care professionals in nursing or rehabilitation. In addition, the organization donates to causes such as Dress for Success, a not-for-profit that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing professional attire and development tools to help them thrive at work.
In his role as president, Wiseley also facilitates monthly meetings and coordinates membership professional development opportunities. In addition, Wiseley recently represented PAAHCR at the National Association for Health Care Recruitment (NAHCR) IMAGE conference in Savannah, GA where he presented on “Optimizing the Recruiting Process.” During the conference, PAAHCR was one of only two local NAHCR chapters to receive platinum status recognition for their work in professional education, community outreach, and involvement at the national level.
Involvement with PAAHCR is a natural tie in with Wiseley’s role in helping BAYADA recruit professionals to provide care for children, adults, and seniors in their own homes. Prior to joining BAYADA in 2010, Wiseley worked as a recruiter in the IT industry. He made the transition to home care with the goal of using his experience to help people find job satisfaction in a compassion-focused industry.
“When I match the right nurse with the right patient, I get to play a role in helping that patient stay at home, where they want to be, and I get to help that nurse experience the satisfaction that comes from improving a patient’s quality of life,” he said.
