Today, it was announced that BAYADA Home Health Care has been recognized as part of Forbes’ annual list of America’s Best Employers for Women 2020. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
“Receiving this people-focused award is incredibly meaningful because it recognizes the important value we place on diversity and inclusion within our company’s culture, including women, who make up 90% of our 30,000 employees,” said BAYADA CEO David Baiada. “Additionally, more than 70% of our top 500 leadership roles are held by women, and this recognition highlights those female leaders who have helped empower our 45 years of growth and success.”
The Forbes and Statista selection methodology included surveying more than 75,000 U.S. employees, 45,000 of which were women, across various companies. The survey focused on issues relevant to women in the workplace and was designed to shed light on their experiences. The survey participants assessed their companies according to the following: ‘Discrimination,’ ‘Family Support,’ ‘Flexibility,’ ‘Parental Leave,’ ‘Pay Equity,’ and ‘Representation & Career.’ Additionally, participants were asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industries that stand out either positively or negatively with regards to gender issues, from which only the recommendations of women were considered.
This honor from Forbes follows several other accolades BAYADA has received in the last several years. In 2018 and 2019, Glassdoor recognized BAYADA in its “Best Places to Work” and “Top CEO 2019” lists. Additionally, in 2019, Forbes also recognized the company on its lists of “Best Employers for New Grads” and “America’s Best Employers By State” in Hawaii, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
