BAYADA has been named to the Forbes list of “America’s Best Employers by State 2019” in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Hawaii.

To determine the list, Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to anonymously survey 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees, asking employees to rate on a scale of zero to 10 how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others; participants were also invited to nominate organizations in industries outside of their own. The number of businesses honored in each state was dependent on the number of qualifying employers and the size of the state’s workforce.

This is the latest of several recent honors celebrating BAYADA’s people-first focus and unique culture, including the Forbes designation among the “Best Employer for New Grads” in September. BAYADA has also received several Employees’ Choice honors from Glassdoor, which relies solely on the input of employees who elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments and companies on the jobs website.  These accolades include the Top CEOs honor for David Baiada in 2019 and Mark Baiada in 2017, and Best Places to Work in 2018 and 2019.

“We are honored with this designation, particularly since it is based on feedback from employees in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Hawaii,” said BAYADA Chief Executive Officer David Baiada.  “We believe these employer honors are a testament to our company’s unique culture, our steadfast commitment to our mission and our focus on growth, which we’ve fostered for more than 40 years.”

At BAYADA, clinicians are connected to purpose and a higher calling – they Love What They Do. The company goes to great lengths to recognize and reward that employee commitment, offering nearly a dozen employee recognition programs providing scholarships, incentives and perks. BAYADA also helps to foster employees’ individual growth with a variety of professional development and educational programs, including residency programs, specialization and certifications. In addition to investing in employees and offering tailored career progression, BAYADA also supports clinicians with workflow-streaming technology such as tablets, electronic documentation and telehealth communications.

At the end of 2018, BAYADA transitioned into a nonprofit organization, part of company founder and chairman Mark Baiada’s Lasting Legacy plan to become the world’s most compassionate and trusted team of home health care professionals. The move was designed to ensure the important work of the organization—guided by The BAYADA Way™ mission, vision and core values of compassion, excellence and reliability—will continue for generations to come, and that good people who are called to a higher level of serving will always have a place of value at BAYADA.

As a nonprofit, BAYADA is reinvesting in its culture through educational opportunities, clinical innovation and technology investments and recruitment efforts and resources that will help support growth of new offices, serving more clients in the more cost-efficient and preferred site of care: at home. The growth is evident; in May 2019, the company celebrated caring for its one millionth client, and continues to expand through strategic partnerships with similar mission-driven organizations to will provide future growth opportunities for its associates in all states.
