Donations to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Children’s Fund will benefit world-class pediatric care

Philadelphia, PA (February 26, 2024)—BAYADA Home Health Care (BAYADA), a nonprofit, global leader in home health care, will be the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Cheers for CHOP, a fundraising event taking place on Saturday March 2 at The Fillmore. It is a celebratory gathering of social and philanthropic influencers for a night of live music, cocktails, dancing, and silent auction.

Proceeds from the event will benefit breakthrough pediatric research and clinical care at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Every dollar raised will benefit CHOP’s Children’s Fund, a flexible resource used wherever the hospital’s need is greatest. Whether it’s to ease the financial burden on patient families, fast track a research discovery or provide healthcare resources to members of the Philadelphia community, the Children’s Fund closes the gap between resources and breakthroughs and enables the critical work CHOP does to improve the health and well-being of children in the community and beyond.

For more than three decades, BAYADA has partnered with CHOP to safely transition children with complex care needs from the hospital into the home. The teams at BAYADA and CHOP are consistently at the forefront of pioneering in-home pediatric care, to best support and provide comfort to young patients and their families who entrust them with their care.

BAYADA CEO David Baiada stated, “BAYADA supports CHOP because our nursing teams see every day what a difference they make in the lives of our young clients and their families. Access to the best high-acuity care, in hospital and at home, is essential for all children to have the opportunity to grow and thrive.”

Founded in Philadelphia 49 years ago, BAYADA is a trusted home health care provider offering a full range of specialty services, including BAYADA Pediatrics Skilled Nursing care at home, school, and in the community, and BAYADA HICU® Health Services (Home Intensive Care Unit) for those requiring high-acuity transitional care from hospital to home.

BAYADA’s care delivery model for HICU® is second to none, shadowing neonatal and Pediatric ICU hospital nurses to thoroughly prepare for a child’s unique, medically complex needs, then ensuring their smooth transition to 24/7 critical care nursing at home. The BAYADA HICU® team orients long-term pediatric care teams and provides education and support to parents and family members.
