For the second consecutive year, BAYADA Home Health Care, a global nonprofit leader in home health care, has been named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women 2024 by Newsweek.

This prestigious recognition underscores BAYADA’s commitment to creating a supportive environment where women can thrive.

Women Leading the Way in Health Care

Women comprise nearly 90% of BAYADA’s workforce and more than 70% of leadership roles, associate director and above. Because many also have primary caregiving responsibilities at home, flexibility is key for women in health care. There must be space for women to offramp from their careers to care for their families, and work-life balance when they are ready to return to the workforce, Heather Helle, BAYADA Chief Operating Officer, recently told Newsweek.

"Women will bring a lot of these skills that they're using outside of the office into the office, and companies find the team building, the listening, the empathy, the compassion really is a benefit here," Helle said. "Making sure that we're thoughtful and intentional about not letting that middle rung break is something that's really important for women to continue to move into more senior roles and stay with companies for longer periods of time."

Inspiring Inclusion: More Than a Slogan

The theme of Women’s History Month this year is centered on women who advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, which resonates deeply with BAYADA's core values. BAYADA actively creates spaces where everyone feels valued, empowered to contribute their ideas, and respected for their unique perspectives and skills.

Being recognized as one of Newsweek's Greatest Workplaces for Women is a tremendous honor. However, it's just one step in BAYADA’s ongoing journey to create a truly equitable and inclusive workplace for all. BAYADA remains dedicated to empowering women in leadership, promoting equal pay, and fostering a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected.
