How Forbes Ranked the Best Healthcare Employers 

Forbes’ inaugural list was created in partnership with market research firm Statista and is based on direct feedback from health care professionals nationwide. Here’s how the process worked: 

• 17,000+ health care and social services professionals surveyed from organizations with at least 1,000 employees across the U.S. 

• Key criteria rated: wages, working conditions and schedules, opportunities for career advancement, and safety. 

• Broader perspective: Respondents also rated previous employers (within the past two years) and other health care organizations they know in the industry. 

• Final list: Only 250 health care organizations nationwide earned a place on the list.
