BAYADA Pediatrics, a specialty practice of BAYADA Home Health Care, recently celebrated the grand opening of their first pediatrics office in Arizona. BAYADA provides nursing care at home and school for children with special needs from birth through adolescence in Maricopa County. The new office is located at 706 East Bell Road, Suite 111, in Phoenix.

“There are very few home care providers that specialize in pediatrics throughout the 9,000 square miles that make up Maricopa County,” explained Steven Caudhill, director of BAYADA Pediatrics. “We saw an opportunity to open an office in an area where there is a growing need for nurses to care at home for children who have complex medical needs.”

According to Cauhill, thanks to advances in medical technology coupled with new training protocols for nurses, children who had to a endure a lengthy hospital stay or placement in a long-term care facility can now live at home, where their parents want them to be. Nurses are trained to provide high-tech care for kids from birth through adolescence with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions, including tracheostomy and ventilator care.

“We have full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities for nurses who want to enjoy the flexibility of home care,” said Cauhill. “If nurses have limited home care or pediatric experience, we can offer them training in our state-of-the-art Pediatrics Simulation Lab, which uses computerized manikins to mimic real-life medical emergencies in a safe, non-threatening environment.”

BAYADA offers a competitive salary, flexible schedules, benefits, tuition reimbursement, scholarships, innovative training programs, and reward and recognition programs. Learn about job opportunities.

“Our home care professionals love the one-on-one relationships with their patients,” shared Cauhill. “Home care allows them to create a wonderful bond that they just don’t get in any other environment.”
