This June, Team BAYADA raised $10,000 for “A Walk to Believe: One Step at a Time for Eric LeGrand” during the 7th annual event at Rutgers University’s Highpoint Stadium. The all-volunteer nonprofit organization creates awareness to raise funds for people with spinal cord injuries. All proceeds go towards research and treatment.
Opening ceremonies began with LeGrand addressing all of participants and thanking those who helped him through his journey. He concluded by expressing his hope of walking again and encoraging others not to give up hope.
BAYADA hosted a table at the event to lend support and to let people know that we help people like Eric continue to live safely in the comfort of home. “Eric is a longtime client of ours, so we want to do everything we can to support him and the millions of people living with spinal cord injuries,” says BAYADA North Brunswick, NJ Director Alesha McCall. “When the last participants crossed the finish line, we all celebrated with Eric.”
Guests ended the day with a barbecue and ice cream for dessert, as well as enjoying activities, giveaways, and music by a DJ.
