BAYADA to Move Headquarters to Historic Home in Moorestown, NJ

In 1982, BAYADA Home Health Care President Mark Baiada moved the company’s headquarters from Philadelphia to Moorestown, a quaint, picturesque community in southern New Jersey. Over the years, even as the company has grown from one office in 1975 to nearly 300 offices in 21 states, the headquarters remained in a small, unassuming office.

Now, Mark and BAYADA Director Ann Baiada are thrilled to call a historic property in the heart of the town’s thriving and charismatic Main Street home for the new headquarters office. 

Mark and Ann Baiada recently shared plans for the renovations of their future headquarters during a tour and reception attended by NJ Senator Diane Allen, Moorestown Mayor Victoria Napolitano, and local community and business leaders.

As Baiada led the group through each room of the historic, three-story building, he emphasized his commitment to restoring the Greek Revival/Italianate home to its original grandeur.

“We’re trying to restore the building like BAYADA Home Health Care restores people’s lives,” said Baiada. “We hope that our plans demonstrate our continued commitment to the Moorestown community, and to those whose lives are touched by our company’s care.”

Built in 1858, the building has undergone a selective demolition process to reveal any hints to the original architectural design. The property was originally constructed as a private home, and then occupied by various businesses. While the historic building will be transformed into a modern office workspace, its traditional, home-like atmosphere will be preserved with a beautiful and thoughtful restoration to warmly welcome all who enter.

The new headquarters will feature an inviting reception area, a traditional living room, a conference room that will couple the latest technology with the look and feel of an elegant dining room, as well as office space throughout the building. In the entry, walls and ceilings will be opened up to the third floor, creating an atrium-like effect and allowing sunlight from the cupula (an ornamental structure built on top of the roof) to bathe all three floors in natural light.

Working closely with Historic Building Architects, Neil K. Johnson Architect, R. Craig Lord Construction, and Interior Designer Jodi Swanholm, BAYADA plans to complete the restoration in 2016. View a photo album of the tour and reception.
