On May 4, 2017, the Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) will hold a gala to celebrate the gift of Catholic education and raise scholarship funds to assist families in need. During the program, J. Mark Baiada, founder and president of BAYADA Home Health Care, and wife, retired Director Ann Baiada, will receive the 2017 Distinguished Graduate Award for dedicating their lives to the care and service of others.

Having received a strong, values-based foundation from Catholic education, they are being honored for their continued philanthropy and commitment to ensuring others have access to receive the lifelong benefits, as well. Mr. Baiada graduated from Saint Peter School and Holy Cross High School, and Mrs. Baiada graduated from Immaculate Conception School and Cardinal Dougherty High School. In addition to their daily work, they generously donate time and resources to values-based organizations, events, and boards.

“We passionately support a values-based, Catholic education as a way to engage young minds and build character that will lead to being productive citizens,” said the Baiadas. “Through these wonderful organizations, children have the opportunity to access a high-quality education and learn good judgment and perspective. We are forever grateful for our Catholic education and groundwork for service.”

The BLOCS Gala for Catholic Education is hosted by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education, Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools, Faith in the Future, and Independence Mission Schools.
