At The Walk to Defeat ALS for the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of The ALS Association on Saturday, November 15, Team BAYADA brought together more than 160 people, raised more than $7,000, and won first place for the highest-grossing corporate fundraising team. Their leader, BAYADA Home Health Care Founder and President Mark Baiada, accepted the Heroes of Hope award for the team that has worked tirelessly to make a difference and improve the quality of life for those living with ALS and their families.

Providing exceptional care for people with ALS (pALS) is only one of the ways that BAYADA supports pALS and The ALS Association. BAYADA clinical experts are working with The ALS Association on the only nationally certified training program for home health nurses and aides, and they recently attended The ALS Association’s National Clinical Conference to learn the latest advances in care.

BAYADA is also a National Gold-Level Sponsor of several ALS walks throughout the country. In 2014, more than 350 participants have walked for Team BAYADA in 17 walks and raised more than $30,000 dollars to strike out the disease.

More than 100 offices participated in the #icebucketchallenge, making nearly 90 videos and raising close to $7,000 dollars. One video had more than 75 participants.

Congratulations to Chief Marketing and Government Affairs Officer Dave Totaro, Manager Tracy Sideris, Associate Liz Oberer, and Associate Emma Straub for leading Team BAYADA in the fight for a world without ALS.
