BAYADA Pediatrics Associate Director Named Chair of Minnesota Home Care Association Workforce Task Force

BAYADA Pediatrics Minneapolis Associate Director Frances Fernandez, was recently appointed as Chair of the Minnesota Home Care Association’s (MHCA) Workforce Task Force. BAYADA Pediatrics, a BAYADA Home Health Care specialty practice, provides nursing services at home and school for children from birth through adolescence.

MHCA is a professional trade association of 150 home care providers in Minnesota working to ensure that quality home care services continue to be accessible for residents who need it. The Workforce Task Force focuses on helping to feed the pipeline of qualified home care nurses to meet growing population demands and to stem a burgeoning nursing shortage in Minnesota.

BAYADA Pediatrics Nurse Residency Program Earns Accreditation with Distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation

The Pediatric RN Residency Program offers simulation lab training, which uses computerized manikins that mimic real-life medical emergencies

The BAYADA Pediatrics Registered Nurse (RN) Residency Program recently earned accreditation with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). BAYADA is the only home care company to achieve accreditation.

BAYADA Pediatrics, a specialty practice of BAYADA Home Health Care, provides nursing care at home and school for children from birth through adolescence with a wide range of complex medical needs. BAYADA introduced the RN Residency Program in 2014 with the goal of preparing recent nurse graduates to transition into a professional nursing role in pediatric home care. In 2017, BAYADA expanded the Residency Program to include recent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduates.

BAYADA Home Health Care, a trusted leader in providing clinical care and support services at home for children and adults of all ages, interviewed more than 100 prospective employees at an Open House on Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21 at the San Juan Marriott Resort to learn about employment opportunities for Puerto Rico-based nurses impacted by Hurricane Maria.

BAYADA  identified 26 prospective nurses to fill open home health care nursing positions in  Minnesota  which includes four administrative offices that serve approximately 100 children and adults.
