Suen Foxton is BAYADA’s 2026 RN National Hero of the Year
Suen Foxton brings a steady presence, clinical expertise, and deep compassion to every home she enters. As BAYADA’s 2026 Registered Nurse National Hero of the Year, she has become a source of trust and reassurance for families navigating some of the most complex and emotional moments of their lives.

For Noah’s family, that journey began long before they ever returned home. Born at just 32 weeks, Noah faced immediate complications. “He wasn’t crying. He wasn’t breathing,” his mother recalls. Within hours, doctors discovered a life-threatening condition that required emergency surgery. Instead of holding their newborn, his parents were surrounded by machines, uncertainty, and a long road ahead.
After weeks of intensive care and preparation, Noah was finally ready to come home—but the transition felt overwhelming. “They were training us for what life would be like,” his mother shares. “That’s where the story began.”
Suen was there from the very start.
From the moment Noah arrived home, Suen became a constant—managing his airway, medications, and daily care, while bringing a calm, confident presence into the household. “Knowing that Suen is in the home with Noah makes me feel confident,” his clinical manager explains. “I know he’s getting the care he needs to continue moving forward.”
Under Suen’s care, Noah has made remarkable progress. What once required constant ventilator support has gradually improved to the point where he can now breathe more independently and rest without it. Each milestone reflects not only clinical skill, but the consistency and attention Suen brings to every detail of his care.
But what matters most to Noah’s family is how Suen shows up beyond the clinical tasks. “It’s like having a family member,” his mother says. “She knows how to care for a kid and shows that same kind of love and affection.”
For families facing the uncertainty of bringing a medically complex child home, that trust means everything. “If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t be here,” Noah’s mother shares.
Suen Foxton was honored as BAYADA’s 2026 RN National Hero of the Year at BAYADA’s Awards Weekend in Nashville, TN.
Through her care, Suen gives families more than support—she gives them the confidence to be home, together, and to believe in what’s ahead.
