We are so proud of the thousands of BAYADA clients and caregivers who make a difference every day—and a steady stream of good news year-round!
Since many of their stories are only seen locally, let’s shine a spotlight for everyone to see. Check out a sampling of this summer’s inspirational clients and caregivers in the news.
Imagine looking at the same four walls for six years!?
A car accident as a toddler caused Alexis Ratcliff life-changing injuries and quadriplegia. When her grandfather could no longer care for her at home, she was forced to move into facility care at the age of 13.
Now an adult, Alexis just moved into her own home and a new life with the help and support of her BAYADA care team. A special shoutout to her regular caregivers, BAYADA Nurse Pam Hucks and BAYADA Certified Nursing Assistant Vanessa Hernandez-Reyes!
Watch their video and learn more about her incredible story.
This nurse’s “heart of gold” changed everything for the family of an infant in hospice care.
BAYADA Nurse Kim Krise takes her job very seriously and always takes that extra step to advocate for her clients’ needs. She even changed jobs and started working overnights to support a family struggling with their young daughter’s heart-breaking illness.
On and off duty, Kim compassionately lightens others’ burdens and makes it look like it wasn’t even a challenge.
Her BAYADA Clinical Manager says, “This family has a special angel who now resides in Heaven, but they also have one here on Earth, and her name is Kim Krise.”
These new and aspiring nurses are already experienced caregivers thanks to a BAYADA scholarship program.
A new partnership with York Technical College is empowering nursing students to earn while they learn—building real-world confidence and experience caring for clients with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
“When you think of nursing, hospitals usually come to mind first, but home care has changed my perspective. I’ve seen firsthand how providing medical care in a child’s own home, their safe and comfortable space, makes all the difference,” said BAYADA Nurse Lauren Plyer.
Shoutout to BAYADA Home Health Aide Gabrielle Dunlap who appears in this interview!
