BAYADA Home Health Care Client Services Manager (CSM) Lisa De Gaeta, who works in the BAYADA North Brunswick, NJ adult nursing office, was recognized as the 2021 recipient of the prestigious Linda Siessel Award for Excellence in Client Services Leadership, for unwavering support of BAYADA clients and the professionals who care for them. BAYADA is an international, not-for-profit home health care provider.

Named in honor of Chief Operating Officer Linda Siessel, who began her career at BAYADA 40 years ago, the award pays tribute to the company’s hundreds of client services managers working from over 345 offices in 22 states. The annual award is presented to a client services manager who demonstrates excellence in advocating for home health care clients, building relationships, resolving challenges, and supporting company growth.

De Gaeta accepted the award in front of more than 2,600 employees at the company’s annual livestreamed awards event on May 20, which was held online in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Winning this award has a special meaning for me because of all we went through personally and professionally this year,” said De Gaeta. “No words can describe how amazing it feels to be recognized for that.”

De Gaeta has worked in the North Brunswick office as a CSM for 15 years. Throughout her career she has perfected the role of matching the best nurses to provide care for clients with complex medical needs, allowing them to remain in their own homes rather than a hospital or long-term care facility.

“Lisa is extraordinary at all things client services related,” said BAYADA Director Alesha McCall, who is De Gaeta’s supervisor. “I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this national recognition.

The award’s namesake, Linda Siessel, who had the honor of announcing this year’s winner, described De Gaeta as a “natural people person” who connects with clients and families in a genuine and caring way. “Lisa is cherished for her fun-loving sense of humor and her kind and caring spirit,” said Siessel. “She is a unique and wonderful combination of passion and compassion, which shines through in every interaction, whether it’s with clients, their families, nurses, or other BAYADA employees.”

De Gaeta was humbled by the accolades for doing a job she has loved since the first day she joined BAYADA, and especially during a year where the pandemic left so many in a world of the unknown and in a state of isolation.

“I am blessed and honored to win this award,” said De Gaeta. “Despite all that was going on around us, I pushed through to be there for our clients and field staff. It is an achievement that has surpassed my expectations!”
