Megan Johnson, a physical therapist (PT) with BAYADA Pediatrics in New Castle, DE, has been named BAYADA 2024 PT National Hero of the Year for her exceptional skill and dedication caring for children with medically complex diagnoses.
Since joining BAYADA Pediatrics as a new graduate in 2018, Johnson has advanced from mentee to mentor on her care team.
A doctor of physical therapy (DPT) and a board-certified pediatric specialist (BCPS), Johnson’s passion for her profession is equally matched by her commitment to do whatever it takes for “her kiddos,” because seeing them have fun and fulfill their dreams is what it’s all about.
Recognized as BAYADA’s 2024 PT National Hero of the Year in Philadelphia, PA, Johnson reflected on the immense impact and privilege of her chosen career.
“I am grateful to be part of an organization that champions the most vulnerable members of our society, serving them in a way that is accessible and meaningful.”
— Megan Johnson, DPT, BCPS, BAYADA Physical Therapist
“We need therapists who are confident, knowledgeable, and dependable—who can provide our clients and families with stability and hope in their time of need. Megan is that ray of sunshine. She would move mountains for them and brings everything she has to work, every day.”
— Lisa Savino, MSPT, BAYADA Director
