For the second consecutive year, BAYADA has proudly secured its place among America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity according to Newsweek Magazine. The prestigious recognition is a testament to our commitment to developing and implementing strategies to address longstanding inequities in our health care system, in both the patient population and the workforce.
BAYADA CEO David Baiada stated, “While we are proud and humbled by the recognition, it is the individual triumphs—both big and small—that tell the greatest story: A minority woman with aspirations to become a nurse, realized through our Advance to LPN program that helps the underemployed workforce. An LGBTQIA+ client who feels comfortable being their authentic self with their nurse because she has created a judgement-free environment. An employee with hearing loss who can fully participate in BAYADA events, thanks to our commitment to invest in advanced closed captioning technology. These are just a few of the many stories that bring the impact of our DEI commitment to life at BAYADA.”
To determine who makes the list, Newsweek examines publicly available data, interviews HR professionals and conducts an anonymous online survey among a diverse group of employees at companies in the U.S.
BAYADA Publishes Second Annual DEI Report
Beyond the accolades, our commitment to transparency and progress is reflected in our latest Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Report, which provides a comprehensive account of our initiatives, progress, and goals in the realm of DEI.
Report Highlights
- Harnessing the Power of DEI Data Tools: BAYADA is utilizing DEI data tools to conduct self-assessments, identify areas for improvement, and monitor progress. These tools offer valuable insights into the diverse needs of our clients, employees, and job candidates.
- Empowering Employees with Workforce Data Tools: BAYADA's latest Workforce Data tools empower employees to self-identify across various dimensions, including disability status, veteran status, LGBTQIA+, gender identity, pronouns, gender, age, and ethnicity. As participation grows, these identity markers serve as indicators of our ongoing commitment to DEI progress.
- Fostering Supplier Diversity: Our new Diverse Supplier Development Program pilot assists small business owners with the tools and resources needed to flourish, contributing to a more inclusive business ecosystem.
As we celebrate this double victory—Newsweek's 2024 Diversity Award and the release of our 2023 DEI Progress Report—we take pride in our accomplishments and continue to innovate and advance DEI initiatives so we can better serve our clients, employees, health care partners and communities.
