BAYADA Home Health Care is proud to be named to Newsweek's inaugural list of America's Greatest Workplaces for Mental Well-Being. This recognition highlights the nonprofit’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive work environment that prioritizes employees’ emotional and psychological health.

As reported by the American Psychological Association, 92% of survey respondents value a workplace that prioritizes their emotional and mental health. Today, mental health is no longer a secondary concern; it's a critical factor influencing employee satisfaction, productivity, and overall well-being.

“We continuously work to evaluate and improve our health and wellness initiatives to meet the evolving needs of our employees,” said Rekha Daniel-Kimani, BAYADA Regional Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. “Being recognized by Newsweek for prioritizing employee mental health and well-being is a point of immense pride. It reinforces our commitment to creating a workplace where our colleagues feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive, both personally and professionally.”

Newsweek's ranking process considers a variety of factors, including access to mental health resources, work-life balance initiatives, employee satisfaction surveys, and social media sentiment around work-life balance. BAYADA’s recognition among other well-known companies like Fresh Direct, Liberty Mutual, and Home Depot helps to set a high standard for employee well-being within the health care industry as a whole.

In alignment with The BAYADA Way, BAYADA believes that a happy and healthy workforce is the foundation for exceptional client care. As a leader in the home health care industry, the company offers a variety of mental health resources for employees, including:

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential counseling and support services are available to all employees and their families.
  • Mental health information: Educational workshops, renewal retreats, and a continuously updated wellness guide of resources help employees understand and manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.
  • Flexible work arrangements: Self-scheduling and flex time options help employees achieve a healthy work-life balance.
  • Culture of open communication: Regular employee surveys and team meetings encourage respectful communication and supportive work environments.

Earlier this year, BAYADA was named to Newsweek’s lists of America’s Greatest Employers for Women and for Job Starters.
