Award Recognizes the Nonprofit's Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity in the Workplace

Philadelphia, PA (January 7, 2025) — BAYADA Home Health Care, a global leader in home health care, has earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRCF) 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), signifying its leadership in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.

The CEI evaluates companies on detailed criteria in four central pillars:

  1. Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  2. Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
  3. Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  4. Corporate social responsibility.

BAYADA joins the 765 US businesses that will be honored with HRCF’s prestigious Equality 100 Award for excellence in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. The nonprofit has consistently earned national recognition for its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and for creating an exceptional employee experience. In 2024, BAYADA earned the following honors:

“A great employee experience starts even before hiring. Our recruiting efforts are infused with DEIB principles so every person considering BAYADA as an employer knows that no matter who they are, where they’re from, or what they bring to the table, they are welcome,” said Jeff Knapp, BAYADA Chief People Officer. “Earning this prestigious award is a testament to our DEIB efforts and the incredible work of our Pride Employee Resource Council. They have not only upheld the CEI criteria but also fostered a culture of open dialogue and authenticity, allowing everyone to thrive as their true selves.”

BAYADA fosters an inclusive environment where all employees are empowered to thrive and all clients receive high-quality, personalized care with a sense of well-being, dignity, and trust. The nonprofit’s commitment to DEIB is an extension of BAYADA’s core values and a reflection of its mission-driven culture.

Through community outreach, professional education, and delivering care with the highest standards for clients from diverse backgrounds, BAYADA strives to create safe spaces and inclusive practices where all individuals can participate fully and experience a sense of value and belonging.

“The CEI is much more than a score on paper,” said RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, SHRM-CP, HRCF Senior Director of Workplace Equality. “For decades, businesses have relied on the CEI as a tool for transparency and leveling the playing field, ensuring LGBTQ+ people and their families can share in fair, respectful and supportive workplaces and benefits. The year-over-year growth in CEI participation is evidence of a business community that largely recognizes the responsibility and value in upholding equity and inclusion.”
